Whereas, the aforesaid posts were advertised by the Board vide Notification No. 06 of 2021 dated 21.10.2021, read with Notice No. SSB / S * ecy //2021/7926-42 dated 24.11.2021, for seeking applications from the eligible candidates; and

Whereas, in terms of the notified criteria, the selection for these posts was to be made on the basis of the Written Test, followed by Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test(PET), with additional weight-age assigned to the candidates in possession of NCC Certificates; and

Whereas, the JKSSB conducted the Computer Based Written Test (CBT) for the aforesaid 1200 posts of Sub-Inspector, Police (Home Department), UT Cadre w.e.f. 07.12.2022 to 20.12.2022 in multiple shifts. Pursuant to this, the Result/Score-sheet for the said examination was notified vide No. JKSSB COEOEXAM(UT)/54/2022-03 (7057013) dated 03.11.2023; and

Whereas, this was followed by holding of the Physical Standard Test(PST)/Physical Endurance Test(PET) of the shortlisted candidates and subsequent Document Verification of the candidates falling in the consideration zone, both at Jammu and Srinagar; and

Whereas, the JKSSB, vide Office Order No. 323-SSB of 2023 dated 22.12.2023, constituted the Selection Committee for preparing the selection for these posts. Pertinently, more details

among the 1200 posts so advertised, 72 posts are earmarked to the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates under Horizontal Reservation, while the Persons with Disabilities are not considered eligible/suitable for the posts of Sub-Inspector, Police (Home Department); and

Whereas, the Provisional Selection List, as prepared by the concerned Selection Committee for the aforesaid posts, as per the merit and eligibility of the candidates was placed before the Board in its 251st Meeting held on 29.12.2023, which after deliberations, approved the proposal for notifying the Provisional Selection. Accordingly, the Provisional Selection List was notified vide No. JKSSB-Scry/26/2023-03(E-7376857) dated 29.12.2024, which inter-alia provided for:

(i) Medical Examination of the candidates whose candidature was free from all encumbrances in the Provisional Selection List w.e.f. 30.12.2023.

(ii) Seeking Objections, if any, to the Provisional Selection List within a period of five days from the date of its notification.

Whereas, consequent to the above, the representations were received from various candidates pertaining to submission of documents/certificates regarding withheld cases, correction in particulars etc., which were examined for necessary action as per record/standing procedure for selection; and

Whereas, the concerned Selection Committee constituted by the Board, having regard to the issues raised in the representations, medical reports from the concerned Medical Boards and merit/eligibility of the candidates and as per the extant procedure/regulations, framed the Final Selection List for these posts, which was subsequently placed in the 254th Board Meeting held on 08.01.2024. The Board, taking note of various aspects attendant to the selection and after due deliberations, approved its notification.

Now, therefore, the Final Selection List of the candidates for the posts of Sub- Inspector, Police (Home Department), UT Cadre, advertised vide Notification No. 06 of 2021 dated 21.10.2021, read with Notice No. SSB/Secy//2021/7926-42 dated 24.11.2021, is hereby notified as per Annexure-A to this Notification. It is further notified that:

(1) The above Final Selection List shall be subject to outcome of the OAs/Writ Petition(s), if any, pending adjudication before any Competent Court of law.

(2) The List shall also be subject to the outcome of such enquiry, involving any candidate(s), as figuring in this List.

(3) Formal recommendations to the concerned Indenting Department shall be forwarded separately.

(4) The Selection of the candidates has been made on the basis of Self-declaration/Certificates submitted by them and if at any stage, it comes to the light that any candidate(s) has submitted false information or has secured selection on the basis of fake documents/certificates, the selection shall be liable to cancellation at any stage.
