In a post on X, Inside the Haramain informed,“The crescent of Ramadan 1445/2024 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, Ramadan 1445/2024 begins tomorrow, March 11, 2024. Taraweeh Prayers will begin in the Two Holy Mosques after Isha Prayers.”

However, sighting the crescent of Ramadan on Sunday may be challenging, and it is anticipated that the holy month will likely commence on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in GCC countries.
The Supreme Court has appealed to those capable of sighting the crescent—using either the naked eye or binoculars—to come forth with their observations.
Witnesses are encouraged to present their findings to the nearest court, or they may reach out to local centres that will guide them in reporting to the appropriate court.
