the JKPSC KAS exam is divided into two parts. First, a preliminary exam (Paper-I + Paper-II) with objective type questions is conducted.

Then, a main exam comprising essay type questions for the eligible aspirants is conducted, after which aspirants will be selected on the basis of an interview.

Pattern of JKPSC KAS preliminary examination:-

• General Studies :-  Marks 200 | Questions:-100 | Time 2 hours (objective type)
• CSAT:- Marks 200 | Questions:- 80 | Time 2 hours ( objective type)
