Mr. Rahul Pant, Ld. Sr. Advocate assisted by Mr. Aniruddha Sharma, Ld. Counsel for
applicants, Mr. Hunar Gupta, Ld. D.A.G. for Respondent No. 1 and Mr. Sudesh Magotra,
Ld. A.A.G. for Respondent No. 2 and 3 are present. M.A. No. 61/738/2022 has been filed by applicants under Rule 4(5) of Central Administrative Tribunal (Procedure) Rules, 1987 seeking permission of this Tribunal to join together and file a single application. Heard Ld. Sr Counsel as the cause and nature of relief prayed for by all the applicants is same, the M.A. is allowed. By way of instant O.A., the applicants are seeking the following reliefs:-

“(i) Set aside the Advertisement Notice No:04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020 to the
extent to the posts of Motor Vehicle Inspectors in the Motor Vehicle
Department both in the Divisional Cadre Jammu and Divisional Cadre
Kashmir, have been advertised;

(ii) Direct the respondents to not to finalize the select list of the Motor
Vehicle Inspectors in pursuance to Advertisement Notice No:04 of 2020 dated
16.12.2020 till such time, the selection process of Motor Vehicle Inspectors in
Divisional Cadre Jammu as was initiated in pursuance to Advertisement Notice
No:01 of 2013 dated 16.02.2013, is finalized;
